Basalt Reach
A river city of dark basalt terraces, switchback streets and a civic rotunda, charted beside the One Vibration concert landscape.
Basalt Reach stands along a river beneath dark valley walls. Switchback streets climb between terraced homes, and a tiered civic rotunda gathers the skyline into one recognisable form. Ferries and quays connect the lower streets to the valley beyond.
This chart entry belongs to the concert world shown in One Vibration. The band’s performance landscape and the proposed city share the basalt valley; the precise journey between concert ground and riverfront remains open. The city gives the gathering a place to continue after the stage falls quiet.
The valley’s ferry union carried equipment to the great gathering and brought households home afterwards. The civic rotunda stores route notices, performance records and petitions from the terraces. One Vibration left a shared memory here; it did not end arguments over who maintains the river landings.
Riverside Court handles basalt-fibre reinforcement, rebuilt ferry drives and acoustic ceramics. Workshops need drive coils and connector stock from outside the valley. An old concert shipment contains missing equipment claims alongside a recording of the gathering; the archive’s voice matters more than its resale value.
People and customs
The mixed concert audience extends into river crews, terrace households and the city’s public gathering courts.
Ferry landings stay clear during loading. Visitors can join a riverside gathering, but the everyday valley still belongs to the people who live and work here.
Around the city

- Switchback Street — A climbing route through the basalt neighbourhoods.
- Riverside Court — A sheltered meeting space beside the working riverfront.
- Valley Quay — The arrival point for ferries travelling along the basalt valley.
Proposed resources and trade
- Basalt fibre — Reinforcement spun from authorised quarry material.
- Rebuilt ferry drives — Bench-tested river engines with transferable service records.
- Acoustic ceramic — Locally fired resonance panels for halls and receivers.
Imports: Drive coils, Connector stock
Valley Quay Repair Slip
Hull patching, ferry-drive work and power-connector repairs; heavy landers queue for the reinforced berth.
Proposed salvage and contracts
- A river freight crate — Find its claim notice before treating the contents as abandoned.
- A concert relay housing — Preserve any recording before dismantling its shell.
- After the last note — Recover a missing performance archive and return it to the civic collection.
- The lower landing — Reopen a damaged ferry berth so terrace deliveries can resume.
